Dense, geometric stitching built from memory rather than a drawn pattern — passed from hand to hand across generations.
Patterns are rarely drawn out in advance. Most embroiderers work from a lifetime of learned motifs, adjusting proportions by eye as the cloth grows.
A single panel can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months, worked in the hours between other daily work.
